Sugar is the Baekens’ cat. Sugar is a lyric, engaging, enthralling graphic observation of the cats that have lived with Serge and his family over the years. In learning about the life of Sugar, we learn about the life of Serge Baeken. Serge Baeken is a graphic storyteller who has worked for newspapers, magazines and organisations both at home and abroad. For NRC, Knack and Stripgids, he worked as a graphic reporter on China. His work has been exhibited in the Warande, La Rocca, Lambiek, Mechanics, Mercator Gallery and in the international travel project Ceci N'est Pas La BD Flamande.
